The decomposing body of a man was found at Invaders Bay on Tuesday morning.
According to reports, two Venezuelan nationals were at Invaders Bay in Port-of-Spain around 8am, when they observed the decomposing body of a male on the shore lying face down.
The police were contacted and a party of police officers from the Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region 1, Western Division Task Force, and Crime Scene Investigators visited the scene.
The body was removed and taken to the Forensic Sciences Centre in St James for identification and an autopsy.
Investigations are also underway.
