A 22-year-old man is warded in critical condition at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, after he was shot and wounded in circumstances unknown.
The victim was taken to the Arima Health Facility at about 1.45 am on Sunday bleeding from a gunshot wound to the neck.
Following an emergency procedure, the man was placed in a medical coma and transferred to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex.
Due to his condition, police were unable to question the victim, and no one has come forward with more information on the incident.
Police are continuing inquiries.
