St James CID and Homicide Bureau of Investigations (Region I) officers are currently investigating a shooting in the Cocorite area on Sunday morning, which has left one man dead and two others hospitalised.
Around 9.40 am, police were notified of a shooting at Randoo Lane, Water Hole, St James, and upon arrival, found Giovanni Jones Lashley, 30, bleeding from a gunshot wound on the left side of his head.
Two other men, aged 21 and 23, were also wounded in the attack.
The three men were conveyed to the St James Infirmary, however, Lashley was pronounced dead on arrival.
