A hairdresser from Chaguanas was reprimanded and discharged when she appeared before Senior Magistrate Adrian Darmanie at the Chaguanas Magistrates’ Court yesterday, 10th October 2022.
The 41-year-old woman was charged with Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm.
According to police reports on 28th March, 2022, around 12:10 pm a man was at a friend’s home at Xavier Street, Chaguanas, when his wife entered the premises and struck him with a glass bottle to his head.
The Gender-Based Violence Unit conducted an investigation into the matter, which resulted in the woman’s arrest. She was charged with Assault by WPC Yorke on 10th October, 2022.
The investigation was supervised by Supt Claire Guy-Alleyne, Ag. ASP Bridglal, W/Insp Hospedales and Ag Cpl Jagroop.
