Wallerfield Race track being used for drive-thru vaccinations starting Wednesday

Starting Wednesday, citizens can get vaccinated via a drive-thru vaccination site that has been set up at the Wallerfield race track.

The site will be managed by the North Central Regional Health Authority (NCRHA).

Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh, speaking at Monday’s MOH media briefing, said it was developed based on a recent temporary site at the Heliport in Chaguaramas, with tweaks made as necessary.

Deyalsingh said the NCRHA will reveal who will be facilitated at Wallerfield and urged persons to help make the process as smooth as possible.

He said the MOH is looking at setting up another drive-thru site at the Ato Boldon Stadium. However, this will be run by energy company Proman.

This will initially target workers of the Point Lisas Industrial Estate and their families before targeting surrounding communities.
