Car thief killed in San Juan by police, another wounded

Police shot and killed a bandit in the San Juan area on Tuesday night, shortly after he and another man stole a car.

Reports state that a 58-year-old man was robbed of his grey Nissan Wingroad around 6:30pm yesterday in Bon Air by two assailants.

An All Point Bulletin was issued and officers later intercepted the vehicle at the Croisee in San Juan where the suspects reportedly opened fire on the officers.

The officers responded with a return of fire hitting both men.
However one suspect succumbed to his injuries at hospital while the other, 18 years old, received treatment.
