Call Made For International Observers To Monitor Upcoming THA Elections.

There is a call for international observers to be brought into the  country to monitor the upcoming Tobago House of Assembly elections.

The appeal comes from Political Leader of the Progressive Democratic Patriots, Watson Duke.

There was a six –six tie following the January 25th THA elections.

The Election and Boundaries Commission  added three extra electoral seats to Tobago.

Speaking at a virtual news briefing Monday, Mr Duke said the government should make a request from various organizations such as Caricom and the Organization of American States requesting personnel arrive to oversee the THA elections.

Mr Duke is hoping the PDP’s request is given serious consideration by Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley.
