Below Fifty Percent Of School Age Population Yet To Get Covid-19 Vaccine.

Less than fifty percent of the school age population is yet to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

The revelation comes from Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh.

Speaking at Monday’s Virtual News Briefing, Minister Deyalsingh said many vaccines are available to the population.

However, Minister Deyalsingh said the current figures do not reflect the target of vaccinated person’s the government was hoping to achieve at this point.

Minister Deyalsingh said November month end the Pfizer vaccine for school age children will expire.

Mr Deyalsingh also gave insight into the way forward adding additional vaccines will be brought into the public health care system.
