A businessman was arrested for the possession of cocaine in two separate instances.
In the first instance, a flight attendant claimed that the St. Joseph businessman gave him two tins of corned beef. When the attendant asked the security at the Piarco International Airport to check the tins, a quantity of cocaine was found hidden in both tins weighing 940 grammes.
In the second instance, on Saturday, police visited the Curepe restaurant of the 38-year-old business man and found a quantity of cocaine weighing 104 grammes. He was arrested for both offences.
He was taken to the St. Joseph Police Station for questioning.
Investigations are continuing.
