A Barataria man is warded in critical condition at hospital, after he was shot while standing in his yard last night.
The 39-year-old victim was said to be standing outside his home along Eight Street in Barataria around 8pm, when a white vehicle pulled up in front of his home and two men exited.
One of the suspects pulled out a firearm from his waist and shot at the victim.
The two suspects then returned to the vehicle and drove off.
The police were called and when they arrived, they found the victim had been shot four times in the torso.
He was taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex in Mt Hope where he was treated.
