Bamboo villagers retain lawyer as they seek compensation for losses

Villagers of Bamboo Number 2 have retained an attorney, as they seek to take legal action against the government over the ongoing flooding issue.

Attorney Richard Jagessar, said the affected residents have been facing flooding issues for the last five days and many residents have been unable to access medication, food, drinking water etc.

However, he pointed out that he does not want there to be a blame game, adding that residents are open to meeting with the Ministers of Works and Local Government, along with their respective team of engineers to discuss the problems and how best to solve them.

Water levels have been recorded in some parts of Bamboo as being as high as 12 feet as runoff is taking place slowly.
