Celebrity Socialite, Gena Tew took to her TikTok to hare details on how she learned she was sick.
Tew said that for years she thought was testing for HIV when she was getting STD checks, but turns out that was not the case.
While taking to her TikTok, Tew went on to tell her story and urged to her viewers the importance of young people getting regularly tested and staying safe, practicing safe sex.
She also updated viewers on her health and complications by adding that she is weighs 98lbs and no longer weighs 68lbs after being hospitalized.
Tew said she had gotten so sick and skinny to the point where she lost her mobility, couldn’t walk, couldn’t control her bowels, had begun to lose her eyesight in her left eye.
Despite Tew speaking on how she learned she had the STD, she still says she does not know how she contracted it. However, she did say that she called her sexual partners to let them know of her positive status.
She shared that everyone she dialed had been more than supportive, checked in on her and made sure she was ok.
Social media went crazy after it was revealed that she once had a relationship with Nick Cannon and many others.
In a new interview, Tew updates that she is continuing to fight against AIDS and that she has even regained some of the vision she lost after her diagnosis.
