Approx 50% Of T&T’s Population Has Received Covid-19 Vaccine, Says CMO

Approximately 50 percent of persons in Trinidad and Tobago have been vaccinated against Covid-19 so far; this is the figure being given by Chief Medical Officer, Dr Roshan Parasram.

Dr Parasram made the revelation while speaking at the news briefing of the Ministry of Health on Wednesday morning.

Dr Parasram said to date seven hundred and eleven thousand, six hundred and ninety-eight (711,698) persons have been inoculated against the virus to date.

Boosters administered so far stands at one hundred and fifty-one thousand, eight hundred and seventy (151,870).

Five persons have passed away from Covid-19 in the past 24 hours while new positive cases over the last 24 hours are five hundred and seventy-four (574).
