All medical practitioners will remain proactive in light of suspected Coronavirus case in Jamaica

Minister of Health and Wellness Dr Christopher Tufton called an emergency press conference for this afternoon after news circulated on social media this morning about a suspected case of coronavirus on the island, causing panic.

Speaking at a LIVE media conference in Jamaica, Dr. Tufton said that the Government will do whatever is necessary to ensure that citizens are safe; he said that contrary to what is being reported; Jamaica does not have a case of the Coronavirus.

However he said all medical practitioners will remain proactive to ensure that citizens remain safe and educated about the virus.

Speaking at a live media conference this afternoon, Dr. Tufton said that tests are still being done on the patient who recently returned from China.
