According to Minister of Local Government and Rural Development Faris al Rawi responders are positioned to render the necessary assistance to members of the population who require help.
He told News Power Now this morning that responders were deployed since the onset of inclement weather with the purpose of provided aid to persons as well as clearing drains and treating with other issues related to the weather.
He said this includes various arms of the emergency services.
He noted that the Southlands have been hit with floods, and agencies have gone into emergency alerts.
The Minister stated that riverine issues are the main focus at present.
