AG: Investigation Into Missing Vindra Naipaul-Coolman Case File To Be Completed By Month’s End

June 30th this year is the deadline being given by retired justice Stanley John for the completion of investigation of the file – which went missing and was eventually found – into the kidnapping and murder of businesswoman, Vindra Naipaul-Coolman.

The update came from Attorney General, Reginald Armour, in the Senate on Tuesday.

The AG was asked by Opposition Senator, Wade Mark, Tuesday to give the rationale for the State’s failure to file defences to the malicious prosecution claims which led to the award of damages; and what action, if any, does the State intend to take in light of the Court decision.

In response, the AG said he does not get involved in investigations but referred to previous utterances given by the retired Justice relating to the matter.

Mr Armour said he is not aware of Retired Justice John asking for an extension to the probe.
