Acting Commissioner of Police Erla Christopher promoted four more officers on Tuesday morning at a brief ceremony held at the Solomon McLeod Lecture Theatre, Police Administration Building, Port of Spain.
One officer was promoted to rank of Inspector, while three officers were promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
Commissioner (Ag.) Christopher congratulated the officers on this new appointment in their journey. She reminded them that as middle managers they play an important role in leading positive change within their division, and by extension, the entire TTPS. The Acting Commissioner also reiterated the need to work as “one team”, with “one vision”, to do what must be done to safeguard citizens.
DCPs (Ag.) Ramnarine Samaroo and Curt Simon also congratulated the newly appointed officers, sharing words of wisdom and encouragement with the first promoted officers for the new year.
