One man has been arrested following a police-involved shooting incident.
Police officers were on patrol around 11 am in Laventille on Thursday morning when they saw a vehicle which was reported stolen the same morning from Tunapuna.
The officers gave chase and intercepted the vehicle in the rock city area.
It is alleged that two armed suspects came out of the vehicle and shot at the police officers, who returned fire.
The suspects jumped into a nearby drain.
A search was conducted by the police and one of the men was found hiding in a house with a gunshot wound.
He was taken to the Port of Spain General Hospital for treatment.
The search is ongoing for the other suspects.
