Acting AG Al Rawi: Gov’t Has No Plans To Furlough Unvaccinated Public Sector Workers

The Government does not have any plans to furlough unvaccinated public sector workers.

This assurance has been given by Acting Attorney General, Faris Al Rawi.

Mr Al Rawi made the comment while answering a question to him in the Senate on Tuesday by Opposition Senator, Wade Mark.

Senator Mark wanted to know what was the rational for the implementation of the said policy.

The question Senator Mark put forward was based in the context of public concerns that the Government’s proposed policy to furlough unvaccinated public sector workers has been perceived as an infringement of their fundamental human rights to life and livelihood.
