Accomplice arrested for Robbery

A 27-year-old accomplice was arrested by officers of the Piarco Police station relative to a robbery with violence in the Piarco district.

The victim reported that around 7 pm on Thursday 21st January, he was at his home at Sheldon Trace, Piarco, when three men entered his living room and one of the men pointed a firearm at him and announced a robbery.

He was then dealt several blows about his body. His hands and feet were tied and he was relieved on his Samsung cellphone, his identification card, his wallet containing cash, and a quantity of jewelry.

Officers of the Piarco Police Station responded to the report, upon arrival they saw a white Nissan Almera, with one occupant, a 27-year-old man of Dyette Trace, Extension, Cunupia. He was acting in a suspicious manner. Initial investigations revealed that he was waiting for three men whom he dropped off. He was arrested.

Investigations are continuing.
