An 80-year-old retired school teacher was suspected to have been killed in his home in Penal on Monday.
The body of Dennis Ramlal was discovered in the apartment he rented on Mohess Road by a relative.
The family member said he had been trying to call Ramlal on his phone without reply and decided to visit the apartment to call on him.
The relative peeped through a window and saw the elderly man’s body and blood on the floor.
Police were called in and the body of the retired school teacher was discovered partially beneath the bed.
