A 57-year old man identified as Aqui Persad was shot in his head during a robbery in Cunupia on Sunday night.
Reports state that at around 9:20pm, a dark grey Nissan Sylphy pulled up in front of the home of Persad at Welcome Road, Cunupia and three men of African descent stepped out.
The men barged into Persad’s home and reportedly began to beat him.
One of the suspects then pulled out a gun and shot Persad to the head.
The men then proceeded to rob the other individuals in the home of $25,000 and then fled the scene.
