Police are investigating two shooting incidents which occurred on Sunday, leaving the victims in both instances hospitalised.
Around 8pm on Sunday, a 31-year-old man was liming at the home of his girlfriend at Laundry Road, Kelly Village in Caroni, when a gunman entered and fired several shots at him.
The man, who hails from Santa Cruz, was hit once to his right hand.
The shooter then escaped in a waiting white/silver Nissan Tiida.
Meanwhile, a 23-year old man from Freeport was shot while standing along Chickland Road, Freeport.
The man told police that a silver-coloured Nissan Versa pulled up in front of him and two armed men alighted then opened fire, hitting him on his left thigh.
The suspects then fled in the vehicle.
Both victims are listed in stable condition.
