Gov’t to seek further advice on permanent outpost for the CG

The government will be directed by advice from security experts.

This is the response coming from National Security Minister, Fitzgerald Hinds, towards a suggestion consideration be given to the setting up of permanent outpost for the Coast Guard along the Southern Coast of Trinidad.

Minister Hinds made the remark after being questioned on the topic during an interview on the Power Breakfast Show on Power 102 Digital on Friday 22nd July.

Minister Hinds also cited the importance of the two cape class vessels which arrived in the country and is now part of the assets of the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard.
