10 bandits held in connection with spree from Chaguanas to San Fernando

Police have detained 10 suspects in connection with a series of robberies from Chaguanas to San Fernando.

The suspects were held Tuesday in three different cars during a well-coordinated exercise by officers of the Southern and Central Divisions.

Reports state tat the men had several fake license plates that they changed after each robbery in their attempt to confuse the police.

Police intercepted a silver Nissan Tiida motor car, Reg. No. PCP 1710, near the Preysal Flyover that was used in several robberies. Those suspects were taken into custody.

A Nissan Note, Reg. No. PEB 7441, was also intercepted in front of a BBQ business along Cipero Road, San Fernando.
That car was used in at least three different robberies and several false plates were found by police.

Officers also intercepted a Honda CRV SUV on the Chase Village Flyover moments after the suspects used it in the robbery at the Chase Village Gas Station and another business place.
