WATCH: An uninvited Nunez-Tesheira climbs over railing to attend Panday’s funeral

Former PNM Finance Minister Karen Nunez-Tesheira was seen climbing over a railing in order to attend the State funeral of former Prime Minister Basdeo Panday this morning.

CNC3 cameras caught the incident as it unfolded outside the SAPA.

She was not the only one to do so, and was followed by former Senate President Timothy Hamel-Smith.

The incident took place after Nunez-Tesheira attempted to catch the attention of Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Amery Browne who was doing an interview.

After saying she was not invited and asking for a parking spot, she parked on the Rienzi Kirton Highway and jumped over complaining that she was being ignored.

Browne, in an immediate response to Karen Nunez-Tesheira, said the late Prime Minister Basdeo Panday’s funeral was planned in close collaboration with his family and there was a process.

He said, in fact, that up to this morning, the process was ongoing. He called her climbing over the railing “unbecoming”.
