Baptist minister gunned down in Tabaquite

The murder toll for the first nine days of January now stands at 18, following the early morning murder of a Tabaquite man.

The victim, 36-year-old Frank Moore, of Manhode Trace, Tabaquite, is the owner of a spiritual shop in Couva and also the head of a Baptist Shrine.

Reports state that around 2.40 a.m today, a suspect entered the St Michael’s Baptist Shrine at Manhode Trace looking for a man named ‘Press-it’.

He spoke to two members of the shrine and then ordered them to lay on the ground.

The suspect then went into Moore’s sleeping quarters at the Shrine and began interrogating him before he shot him about the body.

In 2022, Moore survived an attempt on his life, when he was shot multiple times.

Investigations are underway.
