The Water and Sewerage Authority advises customers in parts of North, Central and South Trinidad, served by the Caroni Water Treatment Plant who are experiencing low water pressures or in some cases no water, that this is due flooded river conditions and clogged screens currently being experienced at the raw water intake of the facility due to the weather conditions as per the Inter Tropical Convergence Zone.
In a media release on Thursday, WASA said this has resulted in production at the facility being reduced from 10:00 a.m. Thursday, until 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
