The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) says persistent rainfall over the past two days has impacted operations at some of its surface water treatment facilities.
WASA says flooded river conditions and high turbidity resulted in clogged intake screens.
In a media release, WASA says the affected areas are Toco, Matura, Valencia, parts of Lopinot and parts of Maracas St Joseph.
