WASA Issues Notice Of Service Disruption To Parts Of Central Trinidad

The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is advising customers in parts of Central Trinidad, served by the Carlsen Field Water Treatment Plant who are currently experiencing low water pressures or in some cases no water supply that this is due to a defective High-lift Pump at the Plant.

WASA says Emergency repairs are currently underway and are expected to be completed by 4:00 p.m. today, Tuesday.

Affected areas include:

 Carlsen Field Farm Proper

 Thompson Road

 Sou Sou Lands

 Success Trace

 Parts of Edinburgh Road

 Upper and Lower Arena Road

 La Quesa Road to Upper Siewdass Road Temple

 Mission Road from Freeport Overpass along Mission Road up to Siewdass Road Junction

 Christian Village (East of the Tunnel)

WASA further advises that it may take up to 24 hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas following the completion of the repair work.
