An anti-crime exercise conducted in the Longdenville district on Monday 8th February, 2021, led to the arrest of two Venezuelans for being in possession of marijuana.
Acting on intelligence gathered, a party of officers proceeded to a house at Ravine Sable Road, Longdenville, where a search warrant for firearms and ammunition was executed.
A search was conducted where officers discovered two large clear plastic wrappings containing a quantity of marijuana, which were concealed in a white bucket with a blue cover.
The officers seized the items and two Venezuelans aged 38 and 28 years, were detained. The two parcels when weighed amounted to 1,634 grammes.
The exercise was spearheaded by Ag/Snr Supt Curt Simon with field supervision by Ag/Sgt Badree and included officers of the Couva CID, Central Division Task Force- Area North and South.
