The Water and Sewerage Authority is commending its team in Tobago for being able to ensure both residents and visitors alike, received a reliable water supply during the Easter Festivities.
Tobago is a well sought out destination for the Easter Vacation and attracts a transient population.
As a direct benefit of the commissioning of the Shirvan Booster Station in November 2022, flows and pressures into South-West Tobago have improved significantly.
This contributed to an overall reduction of approximately 76% in truck-borne water requests, when compared to the same period for the previous year.
In the areas of highest demand, the data reveals a reduction in truck-borne requests ranging from 86% to 94%.
