Vaccination cards must be signed and stamped or they won’t be valid says CMO

If you have already received a Covid19 jab or are about to receive one, please ensure that your vaccination cards have the official stamp of the health facility at which it was administered.

This advisory was issued yesterday Chief Medical Officer Dr Roshan Parasram, during the Ministry of Health media briefing.

He was at the time responding to a question validity of cards, in light of reported incidents, where people were sent home with unstamped vaccination cards.

Parasram said, “If you had shots at the same venue, return and ask them to place their stamp on the card.”

He said the card “will prove that you do have the vaccines, but legitimacy and validation of any official documentation usually accompany a stamp and a signature, so those things have to be there for it to be nationally or even internationally utilised.”
