UNC continuing consultations on mayors, aldermen, chairmen and minority leaders

The United National Congress says it is continuing consultations on aldermen, mayors, chairmen and minority leaders, as the Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC) finalises the final 8 party allocations for aldermen.

In a statement, the UNC informed the public that it has been engaged in wide-ranging, democratic consultations with Stakeholder groups including: MPs, senators, NATEX, councillors and community groups, to finalise its selections.

The UNC said it is also waiting on the EBC to make its declaration of the allocation of Aldermen in Arima and Princes Town Corporations to the political parties, numbering 8 in total.
