Police have detained two men and two juveniles in separate incidents overnight in the Central Division.
The four were detained in connection with a report of Larceny Motor Vehicle and Robbery with Violence.
In the first incident, according to police reports, a man parked and secured his white Nissan Tiida motor vehicle at his home and retired to bed. He awoke around 9.30am and observed his vehicle missing.
A report was subsequently made to the Central Division Operational Command Centre. Acting on information received, police officers of the Central Criminal Investigations Department, Operations and with the assistance of the Central Division Task Force – North and Central Division Gang Unit, executed search warrants at the homes of two 16-year-olds of Pasea Main Road, Tunapuna and Henry Street, Tunapuna.
The teens were detained and transferred to the Maracas St Joseph Booking Centre pending further investigations.
Meanwhile, in another exercise, officers of the CCID Operations and Chaguanas CID went to Bholai Trace East, Chase Village, Chaguanas, where a search warrant was executed relative to a gold coloured Mercedes Benz motor vehicle which was allegedly used in a report of Robbery with Violence which occurred on January 17th, 2023, within the Division.
A 40-year-old Longdenville man and a 36-year-old Enterprise man are assisting police with their investigations.
Three of the four persons involved in these matters are expected to be charged later today.
