Two men were arrested and a pistol and quantity of ammunition seized by officers of the North Eastern Division Task Force, during ongoing anti-crime operations arising out of the Division’s Strategic Crime Plan and Border Patrol Policy.
While on mobile patrol along Semp Street, Morvant, around 3 am on Tuesday 27th September, 2022, officers stopped a white Nissan Almera motor vehicle with two male occupants.
A search of the vehicle resulted in officers finding one Taurus pistol loaded with a magazine containing 12 rounds of ammunition.
The suspects, both 27 of Morvant, were arrested in connection with the find.
Investigations are ongoing.
The exercises were spearheaded by Snr. Supt. Maharaj, Supt. Edwards, ASP Singh and Insp. Bharath.
