A 49-year-old Tunapuna man was shot and killed during an incident in Las Lomas on Saturday night.
Norman Benn, of Henry Road, was at Rock River Road around 8pm, when he saw a man with a firearm approaching and he ran off.
A chase ensued and Benn reportedly ran into the yard of a resident in a bid to hide from his attacker.
However, he was found and shot twice to the body by the suspect, who then ran off.
The owner of the property later found Benn unresponsive, with gunshot wounds to the head and chest.
Officers of the Central Division Task Force are continuing investigations.
