The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service assures it is pursuing all investigative leads with a view to bringing the perpetrators of Cocorite shooting incident to justice in the shortest possible time.
Commissioner of Police, Erla Harewood-Christopher, in response to the incident, immediately summoned a high-powered meeting comprising the Deputy Commissioners of Operations and Intelligence and Investigations, the ACP Criminal Division, the Head of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations, the Head of the Special Investigations Unit and heads of several other Operational Units.
The team is expected to visit the scene shortly.
Commissioner Christopher condemned the latest act of violence which she describes as ‘senseless’.
CoP Christopher and members of the Executive of the TTPS have also extended their deepest condolences to the families of those who died in last night’s incident and wish the injured victims a speedy recovery.
