T&TEC Reassures Matter Resolved After Protest Action At Southern Distribution Office

The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission reassure its customers the matter related to the protest action carried out by some employees outside its Southern Distribution office Thursday morning has been
resolved.

Employees have returned to work and the situation has returned to normal.

Having been alerted to the public airing of a grievance, the Management of the Commission met with the employees’ representative Union and discussed the matter.

The Commission expressed its disappointment at the way the issue was ventilated adding the action appears to have been contrary to the Industrial Relations Act.

As such the Commission will give careful consideration as to whether any further measures should be implemented to address the actions that were taken.

All Crews have been deployed to conduct routine work and respond to emergencies as required.
