TT Trade Mission Leaves For Ghana Today Returns March 17th

Today a trade mission made up of private and public sector companies will leave Trinidad and Tobago for Ghana.

The mission will return on March 17th.

The Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers Association says Ghana was chosen as a market for opportunity to the business community, following his royal majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, king of the Ashanti Kingdom (Ghana) and his delegation’s visit to Trinidad and Tobago in August 2023, where several high level meetings took place between the CEO’s of both the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, Ghana Export Promotion Authority and the TTMA,”.

The trade mission is being led by Minister of Trade and Industry Paula Gopee-Scoon .

She says “Trinidad and Tobago has maintained a favourable trade balance with Ghana, averaging $15.2 million in exports and $0.6 million in imports annually.

Trinidad and Tobago’s trade balance with Ghana increased by 24.7 per cent, moving from a surplus of $23.6 million in 2018 to a surplus of $29.5 million in 2022,”.
