T&T signs MoU with Guyana and other Caricom Heads

Trinidad and Tobago has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Guyana and other Caricom Heads to establish and strengthen the food supply chain across the region.

Both Prime Minister Rowley and Guyana’s President Irfan Ali shared great hope for the future for both countries arising from the agreement.

However the two were not as forthrite with their views when discussing energy corporation between both countries.

The Caricom region is footing a US multi billion dollar food import bill all while facing food instability and skyrocketing global food prices, Caricom States are now making moves to ensure food sustainability within the region.

Guyana’s President Irfan Ali informed that while it is not part of Caricom Brazil has already expressed interest in entering the MOU.
