Rowley tells Unions don’t over react to CPO’s 2% wage increase offer

Don’t over react!
That’s from Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley as he responded to Labour Union Leaders’ reaction to the latest CPO’s offer.
The Union Heads have threatened to shut down the country following the CPO’s latest offer.
Dr Rowley said the Government has never retrenched workers in the face of financial constraints.
Wages and salaries for public servants are presently costing the Government $8.7 billion.
Speaking at a news briefing on Sunday the Prime Minister says that while public servants have called for more the 2% increase offered by the CPO will cost the state some $1.8 billion up front.
