The Trinidad & Tobago Hockey Indoor league which was poised for its return since 2020, took full flight this weekend, on Saturday October 8th 2022.
The league will see competition in the following divisions:
• Under 19 Boys
• Open Trinity Women
• Trinity Women
• Trinity Men
• Open Men
• Mixed Veterans
• Masters
League competition will run from October 8th to November 6th, with Knock Out matches set for the weekend of Saturday November 12th to Sunday, November 13th, 2022.

It will follow rules and regulations from the Federation International Hockey Rules of Indoor Hockey 2020.
The league via media release said it is excited to see the return to play and is determine to see who will come out on top.
Reflecting on the last competition in 2020 (pre-pandemic), there were a number of clubs securing the top spots in each division.
Defending their titles in each division are the following winners from 2020:
• Under 19 Boys – Fatima HC
• Open Women – Magnolia Hockey Club
• Trinity Women – Harvard Checkers
• Trinity Men – SHAPE
• Open Men – Trinidad & Tobago Defence Force
• Mixed Veterans – Queens Park Cricket Club
The Masters include teams from age group 45 and over.
This too is a mixed division, and was introduced due to the rise of regional and international Masters competition.
This year the World Masters Hockey World Cup were hosted in Cape Town South Africa and featured teams in over 45, over 50, over 55 and over 65 in both men and women’s divisions.
