Officers of the Eastern Division found and seized three guns set as traps in the Rio Claro area on November 30th 2020.
In an exercise supervised by Sgt. (Ag.) Maharaj which included Cpl. (Ag.) Denoon and officers of the Rio Claro CID, Task Force and Charge Room, the team of officers proceeded to Mahabalsingh Trace, Navet Village. Approximately 75 feet off the roadway the three guns were found.
Two of the traps were armed with a 12-gauge cartridge each, while a spent shell, allegedly belonging to the third gun was found in a nearby tree root.
The guns, along with the ammunition was seized by the officers.
Investigations are ongoing.
