Traffic restrictions are in place until 1pm today in parts of Port of Spain to facilitate a dress rehearsal for this year’s Memorial Day Parade.
The rehearsal is due to take place from 11am and will include ceremonial gun fire which the National Security Ministry says poses no threat to the general public.
The restrictions relate to parking and access routes (see below).
The Parade itself is carded for 10:30am on Sunday 12th November at Memorial Park, Port of Spain.
Afterward, from 12:30pm on Sunday, the public can visit Memorial Park to pay their respects and lay wreaths.
The National Day of Remembrance is observed annually in honour of those who served and in memory of those who fell in the World Wars of 1914–1918 and 1939–1945.
