Traffic disruption: Unveiling of lion statues at Chinatown

There will be a disruption of traffic along Charlotte Street, Port-of-Spain, on Wednesday February 10th, 2021, to facilitate the installation and unveiling of two lion statues at Chinatown.

Between Queen Street and Independence Square North, traffic will not be allowed on Charlotte Street between 6 am and 6 pm.
From 4 pm, traffic will be disrupted along Charlotte Street from Park Street to Independence Square North.

The TTPS is advising that traffic will be allowed to flow along Duke, Prince and Queen Streets, all day long. Please be advised that police officers will be present at various intersections to ensure the smooth flow of traffic.

The TTPS is further advising there will be no parking on Charlotte Street for the day.
