Tortuga farmer shot dead during an attempted robbery

Ganesh Deopersad, 33, was shot dead during an attempted robbery at his Tortuga home.

Gunmen reportedly stormed Deopersad’s Cocoyac Trace home just after noon and demanded cash and jewellery from a relative.

The three gunmen then searched the house where Ganesh was sleeping in his room

Further reports states that he was shot multiple times about the body.

Deopersad, who was a farmer spent the entire morning in his garden.

Police investigations are ongoing.
