A tragically unfortunate accident has resulted in the death of a one-year-old girl.
Little Ziara Stephen was killed around 9:25pm on Friday night, when her father’s friend accidentally ran over her with his vehicle.
The driver of the car, who hails from Cocorite Road, reported to police that he and the child’s father, Wyatt Stephen, were liming with others at River Road, Arima when he left to head home.
The driver was chatting with Stephen when he pulled off and said he felt like he hit something. When the men checked, they realised that the toddler had been run over.
They both rushed the child to the Arima Hospital where she was declared dead.
