The TTPS has advised that as at 8:45pm, December 30th, 2023, the North coast road in the vicinity of the first lookout was impassible due to a landslip causing significant damage to the roadway.
For those familiar with the roadway, the landslide occurred in the vicinity of a popular spring nearing the lookout.
The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, the Ministry of Works and Transport, the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management, the San Juan/Laventille Regional Corporation, as well as the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service and Trinidad and Tobago Regiment have been mobilized. Road users are advised to avoid the North coast road until further notice.
