Tobago mother gives birth to her first baby on Mother’s Day

Earlier today, one baby girl was delivered to first time mother Charnelle Samuel of Glen Road Tobago. The bundle of joy was delivered at 4:24am and weighed 2.885kgs.

Assemblyman Tracy Davidson-Celestine, Secretary of Health, Wellness and Family Development congratulated Ms Samuel by gifting her with a care package for the new-born.

The Secretary said, “On behalf of all of us, we wish you congratulations…we ask that you care for the baby very well and from the Division, we will be here to provide you with the support that you will need.”

She went on to explain that if required, Ms. Samuel could apply to access any service provided by the Division, which could help in caring for the child.

In response, Ms. Samuel said, “I wasn’t expecting to have a baby on Mother’s Day so this is a first for me and I’m actually grateful for the hamper, thank you very much.”
